FiKnowl Assignment in Google Classroom

FiKnowl Assignment

The Good, The Bad and Just Plain Knowles

So, as we come to a close of another semester, we are left with just the few memories that carried us through the year (ok scarred for life), memories of personal, public, other just absurd.

With this question, I'm not looking for pandering (gratifying) comments for my ego. Who is or was your best teacher (I usually aske for one, but I decided to make it easier) in your entire educational career (K through whatever)? Please be detailed in the qualities you most enjoyed and admired about those teachers. And please give me the school(s) were they have taught if you know.

Without naming names (please, please, PLEASE!!!), describe the qualities you most frown upon with the one or two teachers you had difficulties with in your academic career.

For those of you that are a point and some change away from your grading going up or down, please pay heed to these parameters and exceeding these in number and/or creativity will be well received.

In other words, put more effort into this the better grade you get.

Good Luck,

Coach Knowles

Due:

Create a Game in Google Classroom

Create a Game

Your assignment: Create a game that teaches but yet is fun and interactive. A tall order I know. You may use one or more of the topics we've talked about in class (States of consciousness, research methods and/or psychological disorders, and/or development. or social psychology....you get it)

Your group: You have as little as one and up to four people in a group.

Your stake in this endeavor (effort): This will be test grade possibly 2, if I’m feeling froggy OR YOUR FINALS GRADE (20% of your grade)

You will grade each other’s games through game play.

Your effort: I will be monitoring your group’s progress. Please choose your group wisely (friends aren’t always the best group partners). I am not a big fan of people allow others to do all the work (Social Loafing/ Ringlemann Effect/Squid Games). I will adjust your grade accordingly based on your efforts.

Your parameters: No root beer or any type of “Pong” like activity. It can get truly gross. It can be a board game, card game or even an outdoor game, etc. Please ask for clarification.

The game must be at least 20 minutes long and include 4 or more people for game play.

Must be challenging and not too simple, but not excruciatingly difficult

You will need to include the following:

No less than 25 canned questions (can be definitions and vocabulary)
Example: When the subjects are unaware about whether they received the sleep drug or a placebo, this is called: Single blind study
No less than 15 application questions (describe a situation)
Example: You are being evaluated for mental health services. The evaluator shows you a picture and asks you to describe what you think is going on in this picture. You say this is a woman secretly picking the scab off her knee….gross. This an example of: Thematic Apperception Test
No less than 10 movement activities (please gear most activities to the material being presented)
Example: Lay on the floor and perform the Moro reflex for 7 seconds.
Make a tik tok with Coach Knowles
                 Karaoke
                 Whatever
You may throw in some appropriate pop culture questions and activities (Example: JJ Ice Fish voice singing Mary had a little Lamb, you get the picture)
Use your notes and handouts to create your questions and answers.
