I can substitute one trig function for another.

Introduction/Connection: 

Do now  -SAT/ACT Practice- students will answer multiple choice questions written in the SAT or ACT style – posted in Google Classroom

Connection – solving algebraic equations

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

I will answer questions from homework. I will complete any example problems remaining from the previous day’s notes.

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

GUIDED PRACTICE:  

We will complete the Solving Trig Equations half sheet.  I will work through some of the problems with the students and then allow them to finish the remaining problems independently,

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

Students will independently practice by completing any problems remaining on the Solving Trig Equation half sheet for homework.

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding.
