Opening (I Do)

An engaging process for lesson introduction that is specifically planned to encourage equitable and purposeful student participation. Describe the instructional process that will be used to introduce the lesson.

Learning Target:  I know that I have learned it when I can:


Students can identify qualitative and quantitative relationships between mass and energy.



Success Criteria:


Students can make measurements of physical phenomena.

Students can identify patterns of data produced by physical phenomena

Students can deduce mathematical equations that describe physical phenomena

Students can make predictions using the mathematical laws of physics.


 

Introduction/Connection: 

Students will respond to the daily challenge as shown on Google Slides

Students will complete their own daily learning map as shown on Google Slides

Students will answer the daily warm-up question from Google Slides.


DIRECT INSTRUCTION:


Teacher will discuss with students any new information provided on the daily slide show.

Notes may accompany the discussion.  


Work Period  (We Do, You Do)

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

GUIDED PRACTICE:  


Students will complete the independent practice, or the lab activity posted on the Google Classroom.
