Systems of Equations - Graphing & Substitution

Standards:
MGSE9-12.A.REI.6: Solve systems of linear equations exactly and approximately, focusing on pairs of linear equations in two variables.

Learning Targets: I can solve systems of equations by graphing. I can solve systems of equations by substitution.

Success Criteria:
I can solve a linear equation for slope-intercept form.
I can determine the intersection of two lines.
I can substitute one equation in for a variable.
I can solve a multi-step equation.

Introduction/Connection: Finding where lines intersect.

Direct Instruction:
• Daily 10
• Finish WS graphing
• WS graphing

Guided Practice: Students will solve given problems together.

Independent/Collaborative Practice/Differentiation:  Students will be allowed to work in pairs to complete the given assignment.

Summarize/Check for Understanding: Teacher questioning, guided practice will be checked for accuracy and corrections will be made

Homework: Finish daily assignment
