MGSE9-12.A.REI.1: Using algebraic properties and the properties of real numbers, justify the steps of a simple, one-solution equation.

Learning Targets: I can solve multi-step equations and inequalities. I can solve multi-step equation word problems.

Success Criteria: I can combine like terms. I can use the distributive property to assist in solving. I can perform inverse operations to isolate the variable. I can remember to flip the sign when multiplying or dividing by a negative.

Check/Go over worksheets 9.8 & 9.9

Guided Practice:

Students will solve given problems together.

Independent/Collaborative Practice/Differentiation: Students will be allowed to work in pairs to complete the given assignment. Complete Kuta Worksheet

Summarize/Check for Understanding: Homework: Teacher questioning, guided practice will be checked for accuracy and corrections will be made.
