Linear Equations - Parallel and Perpendicular lines

Standards:
MGSE9-12.A.REI.3: Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable including
equations with coefficients represented by letters.
MGSE9-12.A.CED.1: Create equations and inequalities in one variable and use them
to solve problems.

Learning Targets:   I can write the equation of a line perpendicular to another line.
 I can determine if two lines are perpendicular by examining their equations.

Success Criteria:
I can solve a linear equation for slope-intercept form.
I can determine if two lines have negative reciprocal slopes.

Direct Instruction:
 Daily 10
 Notes writing the equations of perpendicular lines.
Parallel and Perpendicular Lines 2018.ppt 

Guided Practice:
   Students will solve given problems together.

Independent/Collaborative Practice/Differentiation:  Students will be allowed to work in pairs to complete the given assignment.

Summarize/Check for Understanding: Teacher questioning, guided practice will be checked for accuracy and corrections will be made
