Linear Equations - Parallel lines

Standards:
MGSE9-12.A.REI.3: Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable including
equations with coefficients represented by letters.
MGSE9-12.A.CED.1: Create equations and inequalities in one variable and use them
to solve problems.

Learning Targets:   I can write the equation of a line given a graph, given the slope and a point on the line and given 2 points on a line

Success Criteria:
I can solve a linear equation for slope-intercept form.
I can determine if two lines have the same slope.

Introduction/Connection: Daily 10

Direct Instruction:
 Daily 10
 Notes writing the equations of lines.


Guided Practice:
   Students will solve given problems together.

Independent/Collaborative Practice/Differentiation:  Students will be allowed to work in pairs to complete the given
assignment.

Summarize/Check for Understanding: Teacher questioning, guided practice will be checked for accuracy and
corrections will be made

Homework: Finish daily assignment
