Direct Instruction: Notetaking guide: Complete the square to derive the quadratic formula. Find quadratic equations given the sum and product of roots.  Describe where a function is continuous using interval notation.

Guided Practice: Derive quad formula on notetaking guide.Find four equations given their sum & product of roots.  Identify continuous graphs and label their intervals of continuity (worksheet)

Independent Practice/Collaborative Practice/Differentiation: Scaffolding when appropriate
