Standards Addressed:
MGSE.9-12.G.CO.10. Prove theorems about triangles. Theorems include: measures of interior angles of a triangle sum to 180 degrees, base angles of isosceles triangles are congruent; the segment joining midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and half the length; the medians of a triangle meet at a point.

Learning Targets /Success Criteria:
--I can identify a median or midsegment of a triangle.
--I can apply the median and midsegment theorems.
--I can solve problems involving medians and midsegments of triangles.

Introduction/Connection (Activator): Students will complete selected problems on Test Review Sheet (attached below).

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice
--review bellringer and homework (medians/midsegments h/w)
--guided practice on parallel lines/transversal and writing equations of lines


Independent Practice/Collaboration/Differentiation:
--Foldables, one on one assistance for struggling students, accelerated practice for higher performing students.
--Students will work collaboratively to complete Quadrilateral Review and/or Test Review Sheet

Summarizer/CFU: students will describe differences between medians and midsegments.
