Standards Addressed:

MGSE.9-12.G.CO.2 Represent transformations in the plane using transparencies and geometry software; describe transformations as functions that take points in the plane as inputs and give other points as outputs. Compare transformations that preserve distance and angle to those that do not.

MGSE.9-12.G.CO.4 Develop definitions of rotations, reflections and translations in terms of angles, circles, perpendicular lines, parallel lines and line segments.

Learning Targets /Success Criteria:
I can translate a figure on the coordinate plane and identify the coordinates of the image.
I can identify the rule for a translated figure on the coordinate plane.
I can write the rule for a translation using arrow notation and displacement.

Review LTs/SCs;
I can identify a reflection on the coordinate plane.
I can write the rule for a reflection given the pre-image and image.
I can graph a reflection on the coordinate plane given a rule.


Introduction/Connection: Bellringer: students will completed specific problems for bellringer on Reflections w/s (uploaded in GC on Friday 8/12). Teacher led review of answers.
