What
3rd Block Geometry
When
8/19/2022

Standards Addressed:
MGSE.9-12.G.CO.5 Given a geometric figure and a rotation, reflection, or translation, draw the transformed figure. Specify a sequence of transformations that will carry a given figure onto another.

Learning Targets/Success Criteria:
--I can graph a image and identify the image's coordinates given a sequence or composition of transformations.
--I can identify the rule or sequence of transformations given the pre-image and image.
--I can graph reflection, rotation, translation or dilation on the coordinate plane.

Introduction/Connection (Bellringer): students will complete and turn in Transformations Quiz Review sheet (attached below--omit #10).

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice:
--Review bellringer whole group
--Guide students in completing Compositions of Transformations section of foldable.
--Guided practice problems on Compositions of Transformations handout (Compositions of transformations 11).
--Guided practice/collaborative work: 9.5 Composite Transformations

Summarize/CFU: ask students to create their own composition of transformations (make a rule) and have their neighbor graph it on white boards.

Assignments:
1) Compositions of Transformations 1: write the rule, graph the double prime image and identify all vertices
2) Worksheet 9.5 Composite transformations
3) Students will continue to work on Transformations Final Poster Task
