MGSE.9-12.G.SRT.8 Use trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve right triangles in applied problems.

• I can create correct trigonometric ratios using sine, cosine and tangent.
• I can use trigonometric ratios to find missing sides in right triangles.

Introduction/Connection (Bellringer): 2 problems on board setting up trig ratios.

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice:
--review bellringer
--Guide students in completing foldable: review setting up trig ratios and introduce finding side lengths using Trig Ratios foldable SOHCAHTOA (attached below)

Independent Practice/Collaboration/Differentiation:
--Differentiation: graphic organizers/foldables, partner work (if used). Acceleration of concepts for advanced students, one-on-one help for specific students.
--Independent practice: students will finish quiz from Friday, 1/20.
