I can demonstrate basic geographical knowledge and can make accurate assumptions about French culture based on this knowledge.

Success Criteria:
I know the name, location and relevance of each of France's external neighbors.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of each of France's mountain ranges and rivers.
I know where France's 2 principalities are located and what they are like.

INTRODUCTION: Name the mountain or river that I am describing. Try your hand at these slides: #55, 58-60 (Geo2 Powerpoint below).

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

We'll review France's major mountains, and rivers and all of the information from Side 1 of your map.

Let's try a quick quiz (France's neighbors, mountains, rivers, principalities)

We'll begin to learn about how France is divided. We'll explore our first Provinces.

We'll add a few new adjectives to our list.
