Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:

I can demonstrate basic geographical knowledge and can make accurate assumptions about French culture based on this knowledge.

Success Criteria:
I know the name, location and relevance of each of France's external neighbors.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of each of France's mountain ranges and rivers.
I know how France is divided up.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of at least 5 provinces.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of at least 5 CITIES!!!

INTRODUCTION: We'll practice identifying/classifying names - ex. Garonne = river Provence = Province


DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

We'll do a quick review of the cities we added on Friday - if you are absent please be sure to have at least 3 added to your map.

We'll to continue to practice classifying Geographical terms needed for our test: Rivers, Regions, Mountains, etc. and then telling something important about them. Once we're warmed up we'll turn this into a game (25,000$ Pyramid style)


We'll try a practice Geography test -

If the practice test is not a success, we will Review:
- we'll hand-draw and label France's borders (neighbors)
- we'll add the mountains and rivers and then label then
- we'll locate the provinces and cities
- we'll be sure we know the French names of the places that we would like to see up-close

We'll try the actual test tomorrow!
