Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
Ask a perfect question.
Comprehend a question I am being asked and answer it.

Success Criteria:

I know my question words (who, what, where, when, etc)
I can use both the est-ce que and inversion formulas.


Introduction/Connection: Give me a one word answer to my question!

DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

Question word pop quizzes returned- do you need a redo?? It's up to you to come see me.
Can you really ask a good questions??? We'll work through a practice quiz and fix any areas of weakness. Quiz tomorrow.

Let's quickly warm-up our skills - what formulae/chants do we need.

We'll put your skills to use in 2 separate games/activities:
1. My monster - students will be guided to secretly draw a monster using 10 criteria. They will have to write 10 questions to ask their partner in order to recreate the monster that their partner secretly drew.

2. Who is Stromae - students will read a short introduction to the artist. They will answer questions about him. Then students will need to ask me more questions orally in order to find out even more to answer the last questions.
