DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

Let's review - telling the date. What are the key vocab expressions (the day of the week, the month of the year, etc). We'll practice how to put it all together correctly and compare it to the American way of telling the date. We'll add on how to say the year and how to abbreviate.
We'll complete a written practice.


We'll discuss important French holidays and celebrations.

We'll go on to learning how to tell time in French. If you are absent - use the Time Powerpoint below - there is a number review and then the notes start on slide #13 - 25. Please take notes and try the practice. There are also notes linked below.


We'll complete a written practice of telling both the time and the date - see "Date and time" worksheet below.
