Standards Addressed:
G.GSR.6.3 Use trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve right triangles in applied problems.
G.GSR.6.1 Understand that by similarity, side ratios in right triangles are properties of the angles in the triangle, leading to definitions of trigonometric ratios for acute angles.

Learning Targets /Success Criteria:
• I can create correct trigonometric ratios using sine, cosine and tangent.
• I can use trigonometric ratios to find missing sides in right triangles.
• I can use the Pythagorean Theorem and trigonometric ratios to solve for all side lengths of a right triangle.
• I can use inverse trigonometric functions and ratios to find missing angles in a right triangle.

Introduction/Connection(Bellringer): students will complete selected Right Triangle Trig Review (attached below).

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice:
• Guide students in completing foldable: Solving Right Triangles foldable
• Guide students in completing selected problems on Practice Right Triangle Trig (attached below).
• Guide students in Practice Worksheet: Right Triangle Trigonometry

Independent Practice/Collaboration/Differentiation:
--Differentiation: Graphic organizers, foldables, partner work (if used). Acceleration of concepts for advanced students, one-on-one help for specific students.
--Collaboration: students will work in partners to complete Practice Worksheet Right Triangle Trigonometry
