Learning Target: I can talk about what I read, write and say

Success Criteria:

I know my "old" irregular verbs - meanings/translations + conjugations - inside and out!
I can use our 3 "new" irregular verbs - dire, lire and ecrire

Introduction/Connection: Compare/contrast our last 4 verbs (vouloir, pouvoir, devoir, boire) - what do they have in common with the other irregulars in our chart??? What is different?


DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

We will focus on the meanings of all of our irregulars - using Flashcards.

We'll add a new "Family" to our Graphic Organiser - we'll practice the conjugation, pronunciation and usage of all 3 verbs in this family.

We'll use these 'new' verbs to talk and write about what we often say, read, write, etc We will review & focus on the "new" irregular verbs - dire, lire and ecrire. See slides #139 - 152 from FlipChart Powerpoint.

We will complete a written practice of these 3 verbs.

We will conjugate them 3x each and write 3 sentences to go with each.

Homework: our final verb test will be Monday!
