Standards Addressed
MGSE.9-12.G.CO.10: Prove theorems about triangles. Theorems include: measures of interior angles of a triangle sum to 180 degrees, base angles of isosceles triangles are congruent, the segment joining midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the 3rd side and half the length, medians of a triangle meet at a point.

Learning Targets /Success Criteria:
--I can apply the properties of isosceles and equilateral triangles to find missing sides or angles of the triangle.

Introduction/Connection (Bellringer): Students will copy the I CAN statement in their composition books.

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice:
--review bellringer
--guide students in completing Isosceles and Equilateral foldable (attached below)
--guide students in completing selected problems on isosceles/equilateral triangle w/s

Independent Practice/Collaboration/Differentiation:
--Differentiation: partner/collaborative work, foldables
--Students will complete Isosceles/Equilateral w/s (attached below).

Summarizer: discuss the difference between isosceles/equilateral triangles and how we can tell the different between the two.

Assignment:
1) Students will complete #1 on isosceles/equilateral w/s and then choose 6 problems on front and 7 problems on the back. Students can complete more for extra.
2) The following IXLs are due at the end of class TBD
--M4 Angle Side Relationships in Triangles (shortcut ZN8)
--M5 Triangle Inequality Theorem (shortcut BW7)
--F2 Triangle Angle Sum Theorem (shortcut UBU)
--F3 Exterior Angle Theorem (shortcut TGK)
