MGSE.9-12.G.GPE.5 Prove the slope criteria for parallel and perpendicular lines and use them to solve geometric problems (e.g. find the equation of a line parallel or perpendicular to a given line that passes through a given point).


Learning Targets /Success Criteria:
I can solve problems involving parallel and perpendicular lines.
•I can identify lines that are parallel or perpendicular.
•I can identify the slope of a line given a graph, two points or an equation of a line.
•I can determine the slope intercept form of the equation of a line given a line parallel or perpendicular to the given line.

Independent practice:
--Students will complete and turn in Equations of Lines w/s (attached below).
--Students will complete the following IXLs by the end of the class period:
1. E4 Equations of Lines (shortcut Q98)
2. E6 Equations of Parallel/Perpendicular Lines (shortcut VEB)
3. A8 Solve Linear Equations (shortcut PHF)
