Standards Addressed:
MGSE.9-12.G.C.2 Identify and describe relationships among inscribed angles, radii, chords, tangents, and secants. Include the relationship between central, inscribed, and circumscribed angles; inscribed angles on a diameter are right angles; the radius of a circle is perpendicular to the tangent where the radius intersects the circle.

Learning Targets /Success Criteria:
LT: I can find missing angles and arcs involving tangents, chords and secants of circles.
SC:
--I can identify a chord, secant and tangent line of a circle.
--I can apply the appropriate theorem based on the relationship of given segments including:
--Tangent-secant (angle on the circle)
--Secant-secant (angle outside of the circle)
--Chord-chord (angle inside the circle)

Introduction/Connection (Bellringer): students will complete #7-10 on Central/Inscribed angles w/s (attached below).

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice:
--review bellringer whole group
--Review angle relationships between tangent/secants, secant/secant and chord/chord using graphic organizer from Tuesday (also attached below).
--Guide students in solving for missing angles involving secants, tangents and chords using attached foldable Angles formed by SecantsTangents foldable.
--guide students in selected problems on Angles formed by Secants and Tangents practice worksheet (attached below).

Independent practice/Collaboration/Differentiation:
--differentiation: Graphic organizers, foldables, color coding lines/segments, one-on-one assistance for struggling students, accelerated practice for higher performing students, partner work, student-led teaching/review.
--collaboration: students will work in pairs to complete Inscribed and Central Angles Puzzle
--Independent practice: students will complete practice worksheet on Secants and Tangents practice w/s.
