Standards Addressed:
MGSE.9-12.G.CO.7 Use the definition of congruence in terms of rigid motions to show that two triangles are congruent if and only if corresponding pairs of sides and corresponding pairs of angles are congruent.

Learning Targets /Success Criteria:
--I can identify corresponding sides and corresponding angles of congruent figures.
--I can solve problems involving congruent triangles by identifying congruent parts of congruent triangles.
--I can create congruent statements based on corresponding sides and angles.

Introduction/Connection (Activator): Students will complete "Red Man" handout identifying corresponding parts of congruent triangles (attached below: Red Man graphic organizer).

Direct Instruction/Guided Practice
--Review bellringer
--Guide students in completing Congruent Figures w/s (attached: Day 2 Congruent Figures). Students will complete in collaborative pairs

Independent Practice/Collaboration/Differentiation:
--Differentiation: Matching activities, peer teaching, accelerated problems for gifted/honors students, one-on-one assistance for students requiring extra help.
--Collaboration: students will work in pairs to complete Day 2 Congruent Figures w/s
--Independent Practice: "Red Man" bellringer, and students will complete Congruent Figures w/s (attached below: Congruent Figures worksheet 2019 pdf).

Summarizer/CFU: students will be asked to identify congruent parts of various triangles/quadrilaterals.
