Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:

I can demonstrate basic geographical knowledge and can make accurate assumptions about French culture based on this knowledge.

Success Criteria:
I know the name, location and relevance of each of France's external neighbors.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of each of France's mountain ranges and rivers.
I know how France is divided up.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of at least 5 provinces.

INTRODUCTION: Mardi Gras!!!! We'll learn about the French traditions, how they spread and changed, we'll find the Mardi Gras celebration we would most like to visit.

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

Let's review what we saw in our "visit" to the Loire Valley, the Region Parisienne. Name the Castle and the Parisian monunment that YOU 'need' to see!

Let's discover the Provinces of Alsace & Provence - their many names and many attributes

A few other Provinces will be quickly discussed

We'll check our progress both identifying where the Province is and what you expect to see there.

Adjectives - Let's review what we know so far. Listening/comprehension practice - raise you hand if you are ________, point at someone ________, does this gender fit _____________. We've practice written sentences.


We'll add on our super irregular adjectives.
