I can understand a native speaker speaking French.

Success Criteria:
I know how to activate prior knowledge, use context clues, make assumptions, take chances, to understand spoken French.

Intro - we'll warm-up our Passe Simple muscles

DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

**Ted Talk - 3 new facts about the author due today - please submit!

We will officially prep chapter 1 - defining vocab and being sure we understand the questions we'll have to answer.
We will listen to chapter 1 and do our best to understand it.

We will work with a partner - taking turns reading the French + translating

We will read the 1st chapter one last time as a whole.

We will translate/preview vocabulary needed for Ch 2.

We will then partner up again (new partner required) to take turns reading/translating.
