I can find the area or perimeter of polygons and triangles on the coordinate plane using the distance formula.

Introduction/Connection (Activator): students will complete #1 and #3 on Practice Coordinate geometry proofs (attached below)


Direct Instruction/Guided Practice:
Review bellringer and homework
Guide students in selected problems on Perimeter and area w/s (attached below).

Independent Practice/Collaboration/Differentiation:
Independent practice: various problems on bellringer/worksheet
Differentiation: Graphic organizers/foldable book, color-coding terms, cloze notes. One-on-one help for struggling students, accelerated practice for higher students.

Summarizer/CFU: round robin calling on students to describe what to use when finding area/perimeter on coordinate plane.
