Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:

I can say hello and present myself in French to various people.
I can say Good-bye.
I can ask someone their name and tell them mine.
I can ask someone how they are doing and tell them how I am.

Success Criteria:

I know vocabulary needed.
I know how to pronounce our vocabulary.
I know how to use these expressions to create conversations.


Intro: Daily 10 - See slides #16-18 in Daily 10 Powerpoint


DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

- Students will warm up their French recognizing and repeating their French.

-Students will attempt spontaneous skits with 3 different classmates.

- Students will warm up their spelling with some modelling of "best-practice study habits".

-Students will try a practice test for this unit - we will check out the format, discuss strategy and then attempt it. Afterwards we will grade it ourselves and evaluate how ready we are. - of course any areas of weakness will be addressed.

If we're ready we'll go on and learn to count to 20 in French.
