I can discuss what I like and don't like.

Success Criteria:

I know how to conjugate "I like" "I don't like"
I know how to add a noun
I know approx 20 French/English cognates

Introduction - D.10 - I like v. I don't like - slide #25 (Daily 10 Powerpoint)
- Matching the nouns - slide #26

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

We'll review the sentence starters: I like, I don't like, etc. We can add on: I want, I need, etc
We'll review the nouns - mostly cognates


We'll complete a checklist of our likes/dislikes and we'll use it to practice Speaking using this material with a friend. - see "Likes Interviews" attached below.


We'll practice using these expressions in reading and writing - see Likes Worksheet attached below.


When ready we will add more expressions (and, but, especially, etc) to our notes.

We'll translate complex sentences using all of the above.
