Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
Describe what someone is wearing.
Read descriptions and "see" the image.

Success Criteria:

I know the meanings/spellings of 50 + clothing nouns.
I know appropriate descriptors to describe clothing.
I can build grammatically correct sentences to describe what someone is wearing.


Introduction/Connection:


Do you need to retake the 5 verb quiz???

We'll spend 10-15 minutes working on our rough draft to our penpals. Remember - all "new" words came from these in-class work sessions. You may NOT use any online translators (penalty = 0). We'll focus today on forming good questions.


DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

Clothing Unit Vocabulary Review- we will:

We'll finish translating all of our new vocabulary (both sides of the green sheet). We'll discuss cultural differences, practice pronouncing each work and start naming items in my "groovy clothes bin'.

True or False - I will describe a classmates clothing - tell me if my description is correct/incorrect. If you are absent - tell me is this correct about you right now (if not, fix what is incorrect): tu portes un t-shirt blanc et un jean bleu clair. Tu as les tennis noirs en cuir. Tu mets un blouson gris quand il fait froid.

We'll try describing what we are wearing and then what a classmate is wearing.


Homework - Penpal Letters are due - typed by Wednesday! Begin studying vocabulary
