ML.II.IP1: Give descriptions

Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
Describe what someone is wearing.
Read descriptions and "see" the image.

Success Criteria:

I know the meanings/spellings of 50 + clothing nouns.
I know appropriate descriptors to describe clothing.
I can build grammatically correct sentences to describe what someone is wearing.


Introduction/Connection: Navigating a website in French - what skills/vocab words do we need (ex. basket = _____, check-out = ______)

DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

Clothing Unit Vocabulary Review- we will:

1.We'll return to our shopping site (Galerie Lafayette) to find more vocab in action. See Webquest # 2 below. We will organize terms into proper categories, we'll try to translate detailed descriptions- including price (euro conversion), European sizing, fabrics, etc,
2. We'll all share a "new" term we learned from this site

We'll see if all of our work has paid off- practice Quiz (recognition only) of all clothing terms and description

We'll begin to prepare for our Fashion Show
