Success Criteria:

I know how to conjugate the irregular verbs: etre, avoir, faire & aller
I can use these verbs in conversation.
I can use these verbs to command/order someone to do something.


Introduction/Connection: Tests returned/discussed - show me you understand the difference (explain it to a friend): Je vole v Vole! J'aime voler v. Je vole.



DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

We'll look over your Regular Verb Unit Test - areas of weaknesses/strengths

We'll begin our chapter on Irregular Verbs!

Let's use your Irregular Flip Chart !

We'll start with our big 4. See slides #4 - 12 (Verb Flippy Chart powerpoint)

We will review the conjugations and "new" uses of each verb.

We will focus on the new "Avoir expressions"- we will practice these in speaking and writing (see attached worksheet "etre & avoir doc")

We will try our hand at writing sentences using these old verbs + new expressions. - See slides #13- 20 to practice at home.

We will learn (and add to our notes/chart) the verb: Mettre - see slide #28-29

Homework - Your letter is due Tomorrow by Midnight!!!
