DIRECT INSTRUCTION:
Students should use their notes to complete and submit the following:
1. Cognates Worksheet. We talked about these on Friday. For those of you that were absent, a Cognate is a word that looks and/or sounds similar in multiple languages. For example: une banane = a banana. There are thousands of Cognates in French and English. Today you will work through them on the front side of the worksheet (in Substitutes folder).
2. For the back side, you will watch a silly movie dubbed into French. You will try to listen carefully for cognates and write down what you hear.
3. Let's learn our colors. Grab the worksheet (color by number) and either crayons or markers (on front table). If you look at any crayon or marker you will see the name of the color in English, Spanish and French. ex. green, verde, vert - the last one is French! Using the crayons (and your French numbers) please color the picture according to the key.
