Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
Describe what someone is wearing.


Success Criteria:

I know the meanings/spellings of 50 + clothing nouns.
I know appropriate descriptors to describe clothing.
I can build grammatically correct sentences to describe what someone is wearing.
I can use regular, irregular, and spelling change verbs to describe what someone is wearing.
I can accurately use articles (the, my, which, this, etc)

Introduction/Connection: Les Tendances - warm-up

DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

Today we'll look more closely at the grammar involved in this unit:

1. Verbs - we'll review regular er, ir, re relevant verbs. Next we'll review the irregular verb "metttre. Last we'll check out the "in-between (spelling change) verb - acheter - how is it like a regular verb? How is it like an irregular??? Is it unique or are there others? We'll practice our verbs in writing.

2. Articles - we'll review if they actually matter (spoiler - they do!). We'll tackle that graphic organiser and "chant" our terms (3 words for my, 4 words for the, 4 words for which).

We'll practice these articles using our clothing vocabulary.

3. We'll synthesize the grammar and vocab to practice writing some great "Look du Jour" sentences. We'll look at the project expectations and some great examples. We'll try writing some 'great' sentences as well.

Students will 'browse' my clothing or plan from their own wardrobe so that they will be ready Friday.

Homework - Test Friday (includes spelling!!!!)
