Standard: Derivatives of Inverses

Learning Target: I can find the derivative of a function with a natural log. I can find the derivative of complicated functions using logarithmic.

Success Criteria: I know the log laws. I can use the log laws. 

Introduction/Connection: Go over HW and ask what are the most useful inverse functions you can think of?

Direct Instruction: Notes on derivatives of natural log and logarithmic differentiation

Guided Practice: Example problems done together in notes

Independent/Collaborative Practice/Differentiation: Scaffolding throughout lesson;  Applications of inverses in lesson and more difficult derivative probs

Summarize/Check for Understanding: Ticket out the door

Assessment: questioning individual students and progress monitoring

Assignment:  Pg 187 #1-16 & 37-43 odd
