Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
Describe what someone is wearing.
Success Criteria:
I know the meanings/spellings of 50 + clothing nouns.
I know appropriate descriptors to describe clothing.
I can build grammatically correct sentences to describe what someone is wearing.
I can use regular, irregular and spelling change verbs to describe what someone is wearing.
I can accurately use articles (the, my, which, this, etc)
Introduction/Connection: Test warm-ups!
DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:
Clothing Unit Vocabulary Wrap-Up- we will:
Practice saying "shoes" in 12 different ways - ex. a shoe, my shoes, which shoe, those shoes
We'll go over the tricky ones (missing English article, no _____).
We'll test our overall proficiency with a Gimkit - best scores = extra credit
We'll take a written assessment.
We will define our next list of vocabulary - A la maison. We will identify characteristics of a "typical U.S. "home"". We will anticipate cultural differences.
