Standard: Implicit Derivatives

Learning Target: I can find the derivative of a function that is implicitly defined.

Success Criteria: I can recognize when I need implicit. I can simplify the equations resulting from implicit derivatives.

Introduction/Connection: What is the notation for the derivative of y? Why do we need it when we are doing implicit?

Direct Instruction:Students will work together to complete a WS on implicit differentiation and a WS on implicit and review of particle motion and writing the equations of tangent lines

Guided Instruction: Teacher help during seat work to remedy issues with application
