Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
I can demonstrate basic geographical knowledge and can make accurate assumptions about French culture based on this knowledge.
Success Criteria:
I know the name, location and relevance of each of France's external neighbors.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of each of France's mountain ranges and rivers.
I know where France's 2 principalities are located and what they are like.
INTRODUCTION: Name the mountain or river that I am describing. Try your hand at these slides: #55, 58-60 (Geo2 Powerpoint below).
DIRECT INSTRUCTION:
We'll review France's major mountains and begin discussing France's rivers
We'll do a short practice quiz today on the information from Side 1 of your map. We'll do the real quiz tomorrow (Thursday)!
We'll learn about France's 2 Principalities - where are they? what are they? which would you like to go see????
Let's learn some new adjectives too! - We'll review the notes we have so far, practice using them and then we'll add on.
