Introduction/Connection: Gimkit to practice the PQP

Direct Instruction:

Let's review the PQP - what's the point? How do we form it?

We'll combine it with the other 2 past tenses and use them all together - see "pqpq + imp, pv vocab" below. Could there be another past tense????

Let's add some to your story. Pick to spots to insert a "before that...." or use it to combine a sequential set of actions.

We'll finish writing our stories in class. Tomorrow we will edit and write the final copy.

Is there another Past Tense??? Of course there is :). But this one is only used in special texts. We'll begin to learn about the Passe Simple - what is it, who uses it and why?
