Success Criteria:
I know the irregular verb ETRE.
I know 20+ French adjectives.
I know how/when to make adjectives "agree".

INTRODUCTION: Adjective Opposites - Jamboard


DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

We'll review our 'irregular' verb ETRE - pronunciation, meaning, how to negate/invert, etc. - see slide #35 (Daily 10)

Let's review our new adjectives! - raise your hand if you are ______, point to someone who is ________, true or false, etc. We'll practice pronouncing the masculine and feminine variations and practice identifying which gender we are hearing. Finally we'll try translating sentences using the adjectives that we know.

Let's try describing ourselves. We'll start off simply and then build- see slide #41-42 (Daily 10) Let's review making adjectives feminine - see slide # 68 (making adjectives we haven't learned - use the same rules- feminine)


Let's use all of our adjectives - written practice- see practice sheet


Let's describe a classmate. Use 10 adjectives to describe them. See slide #75.


Students will submit their work and then will listen as I read some aloud. Students will listen and determine who is being described.
