-I can understand and create the Literary past tense - Le Passe Simple.
Success Criteria:
I know how to form it.
I know when to use it.
Introduction/Connection: Name this story: Elle naquit en New Jersey. Elle fut rousse et mignonne. Elle habita avec sa famille. Elle fit beaucoup de betises.
Direct Instruction:
We'll review the who, what, how and whys of the Passe Simple.
We'll practice writing in it once again - especially going from P.C. to P.S. and then P.S. to P.C.
We'll continue our reading of Goldilocks - let's tell what happened in the parts we read yesterday. What tense do we use to talk about what we read???? We'll in groups and as a class. We'll discuss what is happening (again be mindful of your tense)
Short quiz on recognizing (reading and understanding) the Passe Simple tomorrow!!
