Introduction/Connection: Let's review when to use each of the 2 tenses - draw pictures and practice

Direct Instruction:

We'll practice our skills separately - 1. naming the tense 2. conjugating a verb in both tenses

We'll complete a proficiency that asks us to do both.

We'll play a game in which students work as a team to answer a set of questions (using the skills above).

We'll work on telling short stories - Superman + 3 pigs - correctly forming each verb in the correct tense
