Introduction/Connection: Let's finish our Granp-Pa story - everyone gets a line to read and translate and a chance to tell why the author chose that tense.

Direct Instruction:

Adding on - adverb vocab (notes) and how they affect the choice of tense - see "past vocab" notes attached below.

We'll work to complete practice sentences. Which tense is being demanded? Do we have to concede?

We'll work on telling short stories - Today we'll relive the story of Cinderella. Students will work in teams to determine the best tense and then conjugate.
