Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:

I can demonstrate basic geographical knowledge and can make accurate assumptions about French culture based on this knowledge.

Success Criteria:
I know the name, location and relevance of each of France's external neighbors.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of each of France's mountain ranges and rivers.
I know how France is divided up.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of at least 5 provinces.
I know the name, location, relevance and description of at least 5 CITIES!!!

INTRODUCTION: We'll check our progress both identifying where the Province is and what you expect to see there. See slides #93 and #103 and #108 - Geo Powerpoint

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

We'll finish France's best provinces! - We'll place and describe them - examining historical/geographical importance. Can you imagine how the French spoken in each might be different? What about the food eaten in each?

We'll watch some travel videos to highlight the beauty of each.

We'll start learning about some spectacular French cities.
