DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:
Instruction:
What did they say about the Fencer say in the warm-up - let's read what it says and find out. Let's try pronouncing it.
Let's listen again, this time we will follow along reading the text. What sounds/words were you missing. We'll prounounce it ourselves and then listen to it again. What changes when you read/pronounce it now that you know what it says???
Your sentences will be returned! Let's rewrite and begin to practice them. Students will say their sentences 3x to a partner - aiming to get their partner to hear and understand them.
