Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
Explain the differences between the 2 past tenses in French.
Use both fluently.

Success Criteria:
I know the formation of each tense.
I know when/where/how to use each tense.

Introduction - Let's warm-up L'Imparfait. We'll write and share sentences about our youth.

DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

We'll complete more reading/written practice on using our 2 tenses.

We'll go back to our "20 things we did this summer list". What Imp sentences could you add (setting, weather, reoccurences, etc).

We'll do a quick lesson on "linking terms" and composition layout. Students will begin turning these sentences on a "Redaction: Cet ete". We will write in class to avoid the lure of AI :)
