ML.II.IP1: Give descriptions

Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
Describe what someone is wearing.
Read descriptions and "see" the image.

Success Criteria:

I know the meanings/spellings of 50 + clothing nouns.
I know appropriate descriptors to describe clothing.
I can build grammatically correct sentences to describe what someone is wearing.
I know which article to use when.


Introduction/Connection: Finish the prompt (clothing vocab) - to keep our vocab fresh!!

DIRECT INSTRUCTION/WORK SESSION:

Clothing Unit Vocabulary Review- we will:

1. We will answer the question- what is an article? Who cares? Does it really matter? (hint - yup)

2. We will review our notes/review of articles - we will use the attached powerpoint and recreate the chart

3. We complete and review a written practice of the articles - see attached document

4. We'll take an article of clothing and change the article 12X. If you are at home, try it:

some polka-dotted dresses my polka-dotted dress
your polka-dotted dress his polka-dotted dress
her polka-dotted dress our polka-dotted dress
y'all's polka-dotted dress their polka-dotted dress
