We will listen to a video clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iscxbkmPhss) to understand even more about our author. ** Remember your TEdTalk is due Friday - 5 New facts written in French.

Intro: Le Petit Prince - we'll start with the Dedicace (Dedication) - knowning what we know about him, why is this dedication so poignant?

Vocabulaire - Ch 1 - we'll start building our vocabulary bank. We'll translate, pronounce and put these words into sentences.

We will listen to chapter 1 - here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvRIccSAHEw

Then we'll take turns reading and translating the opening chapter.

We'll focus on being able to identify and describe in French: "Le cadre" (setting) and "L'etat d'esprit" (mood) we find in the opening chapter.

We'll work through some Q&A about the chapter - working on question interpretation and then the necessary skills needed to take details from the text.

Homework -
TedTalk - please present me 3 facts you learn from the video - this can be in English but should be at least 2 sentences each - due Wednesday
