Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:

I can say hello and present myself in French to various people.
I can say Good-bye.
I can ask someone their name and tell them mine.

Success Criteria:

I know vocabulary needed.
I know what sounds letters make in French.



Introduction/Connection:
Daily 10 - Today we will do slide # 5 & 6 - See: French I - Daily 10 powerpoint - attached below


DIRECT INSTRUCTION:


-We will review the accent mark rules. We'll see if we can correctly pronounce a whole paragraph of French (Greetings Powerpoint - slide # 71).

- We will review all greetings/goodbyes we have learned so far (see Francais I Greetings Powerpoint below - we will practice reading them, saying them, and hearing/understanding them)

- We will learn how to ask someone their name and to tell them ours - we will learn that we will need to choose to be 'informal or formal' - see slides # 38 - 42. We will practice these with out classmates.

-We will learn how to ask how someone is doing - slide #43 as well as appropriate responses. - slides #44-45
