Learning Target: I know that I have learned it when I can:
I can present myself in French.
I can understand someone else presenting in French.


Success Criteria:
I know vocabulary needed to present myself.
I am patient with what I know and what I need to (re)learn.


Introduction/Connection:
Bonjours!!! Nous allons parler en francais dans cette classe!
(we will run this class in French - try to follow along - many prompts, clues, modeling will guide you)


DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

Le Quart d'heure de Francais (15 minutes only in French!!!):
Speed Dating - Students will use guided questions to talk to 20 different people in the room. Students will record what they learn.

Students will share the details that they learned about their classmates (share something normal, something interesting and something shocking!!).


Syllabus, goals, expectations and hopes discussed- clearly we are here to really learn this language - Let's Do It!!!

French 2 - Review - first homework assignment will be to completely fill out the pink French 2 Study Guide. Your first quiz will be over that material = Monday!

Let's play with Fr 2 prior knowledge - Les Resolutions! Students will read each prompt and go move to the spot in the room that best represents their opinion. We will try to explain in French "why" we feel this way. Students will then work to write their own resolution and then explain it to a partner.

Les Expressions Utiles - students will learn/review key expressions that we will use daily in class. We'll practice using them!
