Introduction/Connection:
Let's listen to today's France24 News Broadcast- what do you think is happening, did you catch anything they said, what skills did you use? Good answer = candy


DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

Review:
- our class expectations (be sweet)
- how/where to find our material (Google Classroom)

- how to say hello + our names (slide 2)
- review what key sounds are making French sound differenct than English
- review the alphabet - spell me your last name

Learn:
-Begin notes on pronunciation rules - see Alphabet & Pronunciation Powerpoint below - (slides 10 - 23)
- Begin Notes on French Greetings - see Francais I - Greeting Powerpoint below (slide 28-30)
- Let's use these in conversations!
-How do people around the world "physically" greet one another (handshake, high five, etc?)

We'll practice all that we learn until everyone feels comfortable!
