Using family pictures for reference, I can tell about my family members and how they are related, give their rankings, and explain their marital statuses.
I can answer questions about their ages, jobs, and occasions when family pictures were taken
Daily 10: Give Me Five (volunteer fingerspells 5 words & class determines category)

Introduce: Physical adjectives
Baker models Q&A strategy using family photos
Students take turns sharing their family pictures and answering questions
Share your family pictures. For each person tell:
• how the person is related to you
• person’s ranking if appropriate
• the person’s marital status
Others ask follow up questions such as:
• person’s age
• place of person’s residence and/or work
• where and when the picture was taken
• the occasion of the picture (ask yes/no question)
Make comments about the person and/or the family.
Examples:
